NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE BOARD OF BANNOCK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS will conduct a public hearing on May 7 2008 at 4 p.m. in Pocatello City Hall, Council Chambers, 911 N. 7th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. The following proposal is being considered:

The County is proposing a general revision to the existing comprehensive plan dealing with the overall characteristics, aspects, and elements contained therein. The Planning and Development Council has recommended the December 21, 2008 Draft along with April 16, 2008 recommended changes. The Recommended Draft and Changes are available at the following locations: County Planning and Development Office, City Clerk’s office of each City in the County, Marshall Public Library, Portneuf Valley Library, and on the County WEB site www.co.bannock.id.us or www.bannockplan.org.

Written testimony concerning this proposal must be submitted by April 29 and Oral testimony will be taken at the Public Hearing. Written testimony may be submitted to the Planning and Development Office, 130 N. 6th Ave, Suite C, Courthouse Annex, Pocatello, Idaho, 83201.

PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE BANNOCK COUNTY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL will conduct a special meeting March 12, 2008, 5:00 P.M. in the Bannock County Courthouse, Room 212, Center Street and 5th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho. The Council will conduct the public hearing and deliberate the following item:

1. BANNOCK COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE – continuation - The County is proposing a general revision to the existing comprehensive plan dealing with the overall characteristics, aspects, and elements contained therein. A study session is scheduled for March 5th at 5 p.m. and is open to the public though testimony will not be taken. Testimony may be made at the special meeting March 12, 2008 at 5 p.m. Copies of the Draft are available at the following locations: County Planning and Development Office, City Clerk’s office of each City in the County, Marshall Public Library, Portneuf Valley Library, and on the County WEB site http://www.co.bannock.id.us/ or http://www.bannockplan.org/.

This is a special meeting of the Council. A complete description of the request is on file with the Office of the Planning and Zoning Administrator and available upon request. Any and all persons may register their comments, protests or agreements on the subject being considered. Oral testimony concerning this proposal will be taken at the public hearing meeting on March 12. Council may limit oral testimony to three minutes. Hearing/Meeting: The planning and development board hearing will open on January 16, 2008 at 6:30 pm at the Marsh Valley High School, old auditorium location and then will continue on February 20, 2008 at 6:30 pm in the County Courthouse Courtroom 301.

Written Comment: The deadline for written comment for the January 16 hearing will be January 9 (as listed below) and written comment for the February 20 hearing will February 13.
